How does the subtitle generator work?

Choose a video or audio file up to 3 minutes. Your browser takes out the sound, the AI writes down every word with its timing, and you download the subtitles as SRT or VTT.

Is it free?

Yes, no account needed, up to 3 files a day. With a free Felvero account, Auto Edit burns animated captions into the video itself.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Only a small audio file is uploaded, and it is deleted as soon as the subtitles are written.

What is the difference between SRT and VTT?

Both are plain text files with each line and its timing. SRT works almost everywhere (YouTube, Premiere, DaVinci, VLC); VTT is the format web players use.

How do I add an SRT file to YouTube?

In YouTube Studio open the video, go to Subtitles, choose the language and Upload file, then pick With timing and your SRT file.

Which languages does it support?

It detects the language on its own, or you can pick it: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian and more.
